This statue of Elvis in the middle of the Judah Mountains, is one of the main attractions of a small village called Newe Ilan in between Jerusalem and Tel Aviv. As an homage to the king of rock, there’s an all-american dinner on the side of the road that serves american style fast food in 50’s ambiance and a lot of Elvis Presley music, pictures and gizmos.
For some unusual reason the Elvis in the statue looks kind of Oriental. Another detail is that the statue carries a Chai (in Hebrew: חי, means life) chain on its neck. The king lives at the Holy Land.
